Keystone chief executive David Bonbright was elected to a three-year term on the CIVICUS Board of Directors. The CIVICUS 2007 World Assembly, which was held in Glasgow on 23-27 May, brought together civil society actors and donors from 138 countries around the theme of “Accountability: Delivering Results”. For five days, delegates from around the world explored ways for holding to account governments, the business sector and media. Vividly discussed was as well the issue of civil society’s own accountability practices. The debate at the Assembly was informed by a background paper written by David Bonbright in collaboration with Srilatha Batliwala of the Harvard University Hauser Center for Non-Profits.
